Our 980nm diode laser was featured in a study of the effectiveness of Class IV high power laser therapy at the Flashline Mars Arctic Research Station (FMARS) in the arctic tundra in 2009. The station’s mission is to develop key knowledge needed for the preparation of human exploration of Mars, including research related to the physical effects on an isolated crew. The laser was integrated into an FDA-cleared system manufactured by Lighthouse Technologies and was successful in preventing and relieving muscle soreness and accelerating the recovery of minor injuries, according to the report. This is a promising start to Sheaumann Laser’s future in the medical laser marketplace.
